5 Types of Women That Secretly Intimidate Men

Some women intimidate men because of who they are, and really, they are not trying to make men uncomfortable.

But then, the right man will not be intimidated by you. In fact, he will admire and celebrate you.

Here are some types of women that tend to intimidate men:

5 Types of Women That Secretly Intimidate Men

1. Women Who Don’t Need His Money

A lot of men don’t know what to do with a woman who doesn’t need their money, especially in patriarchal societies where men are raised to believe their primary value is being a provider.

Yes, most men are raised this way in almost every society, so they’ve attached their entire worth to their ability to provide financially. So it’s not surprising that when a man meets a woman who doesn’t need his money, he’s confused.

Because now he has to ask himself: what else am I bringing to the table aside from my wallet? And for some men, that’s a difficult question to answer. In fact, some have no answer at all.

If you’ve built your entire identity around being a provider, and you meet a woman who’s already providing for herself, what’s your role exactly? This is why financially independent women intimidate men who haven’t developed anything beyond their wallets to offer.

They don’t know how to add value emotionally, intellectually, or spiritually because they were taught that money is enough. A woman who has her own money doesn’t need a walking ATM. She needs a partner.

Someone who brings emotional intelligence, support, companionship, guidance, love, literally things money can’t buy.

And if a man’s only value proposition is “I can pay your bills,” then yes, he will be intimidated by a woman who’s already handling that herself.

2. Smart Women

I learned in social psychology during my university days that society conditions women to be warm, affectionate, caring, nurturing, while men are expected to be aggressive, strong, stoic, and smart.

So when a woman is intelligent, like visibly and unapologetically intelligent, it disrupts the script society wrote for her.

She’s not supposed to know more than he does, but she does, and she’s not pretending otherwise.

Some men can’t handle it. They believe men should explain things to women and have the final word on intellectual matters.

Have you seen men who get visibly uncomfortable when their girlfriends demonstrate knowledge in areas they consider “masculine,” like politics, finance, technology, business, and sports?

They either dismiss her with “You don’t know what you’re talking about” or withdraw entirely because they can’t handle not being the smartest person in the room.

Because if she’s smart, where does that leave him?

A secure man is attracted to intelligence. He wants a partner he can have deep conversations with, someone who sharpens him intellectually.

But an insecure man needs his woman to be less intelligent than him so he can feel superior.

If you’re a smart woman, you don’t want that man anyway. Trust me.

3. Girls Who Don’t Need Saving

Many men have what psychologists call the hero instinct.

They like feeling useful, solving problems, protecting, and providing solutions. It’s how many of them show love.

What happens when they meet a woman who doesn’t need saving? Some men don’t know what to do with her.

Because if she doesn’t need saving, how does he prove his worth? How does he show love if there’s nothing to fix?

Some men lose interest in women the moment they realize she’s not a damsel in distress. She’s stable, handling her life like the adult she is.

And instead of seeing that as a blessing, some men see it as boring.

Can you imagine? A stable woman is boring to them. They’re used to women who make them feel necessary by being helpless.

A woman who’s already saved herself needs a partner, not someone who’s only valuable when things are falling apart.

4. Girls Who Have Standards

If you don’t have standards, don’t be surprised when you have lots of men flocking around you. Because men with nothing to offer love women who accept anything.

A woman with standards intimidates the majority of these brothers because she’s not lowering her expectations just to have a man.

She knows what she wants and what she deserves, and she’s not settling. Men who think they deserve medals for doing the bare minimum don’t like this kind of woman.

A woman with standards doesn’t grade on a curve. You’re either meeting her requirements, or you’re not. And if you’re not, she’s not waiting around for you to become the man she needs.

She’d rather be single than settle. And she means it. Of course, expect men who’ve gotten by on bare minimum effort their entire lives to find this intimidating.

5. Girls Who Know Their Worth

I always tell women that people will treat you based on the value you place on yourself. If you don’t value yourself, don’t expect anyone else to.

When a woman knows her worth, she’ll never accept treatment that doesn’t match her value.

She won’t beg for respect or stay where she’s undervalued. She knows what she brings to the table, so you can’t treat her like trash.

If you don’t see her value, she has no problem walking away. She will not lower her standards to keep someone who doesn’t appreciate her.

This confidence intimidates insecure men because they can’t make her doubt herself or convince her she’s lucky to have them.

She knows she’s the prize, and she acts like it unapologetically.

If a man ever tells you you’re intimidating, say “thank you” and keep it moving. Because what he’s telling you is that he’s not secure enough to be with you.

A man who’s intimidated by you doesn’t want a partner, he wants someone who needs him to survive. And you don’t want that man anyway.

So be intimidating, and let the insecure men intimidate themselves right out of your life.
