I’m not trying to be the bearer of bad news, but some things you’re waiting for will never come.
Not because you don’t deserve them, but because they don’t work the way you think they do.
8 Things People Wait For That Never Come
1. The Perfect Time to Start Anything
So you want to do something, maybe start a business, write a book, go back to school, start that fitness journey (this is me 😩), have that difficult conversation, or make a big decision…..
And you’re waiting for the stars to align.
Meanwhile, time is ticking.
Days are passing, and months are turning into years.
And the perfect time?
It never comes, hun.Â
Because there is no perfect time.
Life is always messy, and there’s always something going on.
If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll wait forever.
The person who started their business didn’t have everything figured out.
The person who went back to school was scared and unsure.
People start things in the middle of chaos and uncertainty.Â
The moment they decided to start became the perfect moment, not because conditions were perfect, but because they made the decision.
Stop waiting for perfect.
Perfect is a myth that keeps you stuck.
The moment you decide is the moment that becomes perfect.Â
2. Closure From Someone Who Hurt You

Closure is good if you have it, but not everyone who broke you will come back to explain why.
They’re not going to show up with a heartfelt apology and a detailed explanation of what they did and why they did it and how sorry they are.
That conversation you’ve been rehearsing in your head?
The one where they finally admit what they did, and you get to tell them how they hurt you, and they apologize, and you get closure?
It’s not happening, at least not the way you’ve imagined it.
Because many people waste years waiting for an apology or explanation that will never come.
They put their healing on hold and remain stuck in the anger and hurt because they’re waiting for that person to release them with closure.
3. Motivation Before Taking Action

Most people keep waiting for the burst of energy that makes taking action easy.
Readiness is a scam.
Motivation doesn’t show up before you start.
It shows up after, when you’re already in motion and already doing the thing.
For instance, you don’t feel like working out, then go to the gym.
You go to the gym, then start feeling motivated halfway through.
You don’t feel like writing, so sit down to write.
You sit down and start typing, then the words start flowing.
Action creates motivation, not the other way around.
4. A Miracle Replacing Discipline
Miracles are real, and God does the impossible.
But miracles don’t replace consistent effort.
Even the miracle of multiplication started with someone’s little loaves and fishes.
So, effort first, blessing next.
God multiplies what you bring, but you have to bring something.
You have to show up, put in the work, be disciplined, and consistent.
And then God does what only He can do with what you’ve faithfully done.
Stop waiting for a miracle to replace your responsibility.
Do your part and trust God with His.
5. The Universe Rewarding Good People Automatically

You’re a good person.
Like me, you’re kind, generous, you help others, and you do the right thing.
So you’re waiting for karma to come through and for good things to happen to you automatically because you’re good.
Being kind is beautiful, but kindness without action won’t put food on the table.
Life rewards people who combine goodness with grit.
You have to be kind and strategic, generous and wise.Â
Being a good person is not enough.
You also have to take action, make moves, build, create, and work!
The universe doesn’t reward passivity; it rewards effort.
So yes, be good.
But also be smart and active in creating the life you want.
Goodness alone won’t get you there.
6. The Right Partner Arriving While They Refuse to Heal

We all want a partner who will make everything better, so it’s okay to wait for your dream partner.Â
But then, you’re not working on yourself.
You’re not addressing your wounds, your patterns, traumas, and unresolved issues.
You think the right person will fix all of that, that their love will heal you, and being with them will make you whole.
Look, unhealed hearts attract unhealed relationships.
If you’re not doing the inner work, even “the right person” will feel wrong.
Your wounds and traumas will get triggered.Â
And you’ll either push them away or turn them into the wrong person because you’re not ready for what you say you want.
The right person can’t arrive until you become the right version of yourself.Â
Stop waiting for someone to complete you.
Complete yourself first, so the right person won’t be a rescue.Â
7. People Suddenly Understanding Their Pain Without Explanation

Everyone is going through something at every time.
What matters is if we have enough support while going through whatever we are going through.
Maybe you’re hurting, and instead of speaking out and seeking help, you’re waiting for people to notice and understand.
You’re suffering in silence, hoping someone will read between the lines and pick up on the clues that you’re not okay.
Nobody reads minds.
Even the people who love you deeply can assume you’re fine when you’re falling apart.
So, communicate it.
“I’m struggling.”
“I need help.”
“I’m not okay.”
“This is what I need from you.”
People can’t support you through pain they don’t know about.
8. A Life Change Without Changing Their Habits
You must have heard the saying that ”it’s insanity to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.
You’re praying to God for a breakthrough, wanting your life to be different.
But you’re keeping the same routines and habits, and wondering why nothing changes.
Your habits are your life.
Many people pray for transformation but keep the same routines.
Nothing changes if nothing changes.
You can’t have a different life while doing the same things. You can’t get different results with the same actions.
If you want change, you have to change.
God can open doors, but you have to walk through them.
And walking through them requires different behavior than what got you here.
Stop waiting for life to change while you stay the same.
Change yourself, and watch your life follow.
